Information this site collects

Directly from you: essentially none. There's no login, no newsletter sign-up required, and no contact form that stores your details. The checklists you tick off are stored locally on your device so your progress is there when you come back; clearing your browser data erases it.

Automatically: like most websites, our hosting provider and any analytics or ad partners may record standard technical information such as your approximate location (from your IP address), browser type, and the pages you visit, using cookies or similar technologies.

Advertising

To keep the guides free, some pages may display ads served by third-party advertising partners (for example, Google AdSense). These partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

Donations

If you choose to support the site through a donation link (such as Ko-fi or Buy Me a Coffee), that payment is handled entirely on the donation platform under their privacy policy and terms. We don't see or store your card details. Donations are voluntary, and all content remains free whether or not you donate.

Affiliate links

If any guide ever links to a product using an affiliate link, we'll disclose it, and it may earn the site a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only mention products we think are genuinely useful, and we always point out free, built-in options first.

Cookies & your choices

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can clear this site's locally saved checklist progress at any time by clearing your browser data. Blocking cookies won't stop you from reading any guide.

Children's privacy

This site is written for adults (parents and caregivers) and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
